CEO & CTO
With over 35 years as a business leader, Fred Ferguson has developed multiple breakthrough renewable energy technologies. As founder of Magenn Power, he created a helium-filled air rotor that converted wind energy into electricity. He previously led a $500M Lockheed Martin project, contributing to major aerospace advancements. He is a recipient of the Canadian Government’s Industry Award for Excellence in Invention. A Tiger21 member, Mr. Ferguson has attracted five additional Tiger21 investors to Waterotor.

Chairman of the Board
Terry Lyons is a highly accomplished executive with experience in natural resources, finance, and corporate leadership. He serves as Chairman of Sprott Resource Corp. and Polaris Materials and is a director at Martinrea International. A retired Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management, he played a key role in major acquisitions, including the Northgate Minerals-AuRico Gold merger. He has received the INCO Medal for distinguished service in mining and serves on the Advisory Board of the Richard Ivey School of Business.

Vice President of Finance
A shareholder in Waterotor, Stephen Smith specializes in corporate finance, tax planning, and structuring tax-efficient investment vehicles. A graduate of the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University, he has spent 16 years as a corporate accountant for multimillion-dollar companies in land development, retirement homes, and agriculture. He has extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and investment planning, working closely with corporate banks, legal advisors, and auditors at BDO Canada.

CFO
David Laird spent more than 16 years as a senior advisor for corporate finance and M&A transactions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in high-value deals and financial strategy. With 20 years as a finance and operations executive in tech and aerospace industries, he brings extensive leadership experience in scaling innovative technologies. At Waterotor, he supports governance and strategic financial planning, ensuring the company’s growth and market positioning.

Chief Engineer
Tom Wolstenholme is a multidisciplinary mechanical systems application consulting engineer with the majority of his projects exploiting his aptitude for specialized science applications. He has considerable experience with both mechanical systems applications engineering and low-pressure gas systems pressurization, this latter skill of particular value in his work with Fred and Tony since 1996 for lighter-than air (LTA) technologies.
